i don't think it's got anything to do with giveing up, just giveing in. nowing when you been beat . silver is right, when we all started the honer server no one new how long it would last but all was willing to give it a try for the first year to see how we do.i seen people make promis to send money for the next year payment. myself included .i don't have it . most likely same with everyone else. everyone has there reason . all i can say is if 381st dies i will still live on as a 381st . this will be my last clan, i will always carry the 381st tag . but befor we give out the bo-ho's and missing everyone lets see what we can do. silver you will alays be leader to us for 1 main reason but there are othere reasons you are leader. your a good frind always no what to do in need. always gives good advice when needed and you stand behind us 100% even if we are wrong. but the 1 main reason is you have the server bro..lol. i no i don't make much since but i got to flap my lips on the subject. so lets not say bye yet...

Just so everyone that still uses the server has a little advanced warning. Saturday Morning I am going to dump the server and re-install everything. It's the last hold out of the virus that I picked up first part of the week. I'm tired of fighting it so I'm just going to go ahead and dump the partition and start all over again.

Not much of a warning I know, but then not many folks are using it anymore anyway. I plan on having it back up Sunday evening unless something gets in my way. My girl wants me to take her to church Sunday morning, but thats just an hour or so out of my day. Well with travel time and the inevitable bullshit time, maybe 2 hours.

Anyway, thats my plan so everyone knows.

My system is squared away finally, and in the process I found a very interesting repack of Windows XP Pro Corp Edition. I like this repack so much I think I am going to move it over to the server as well.

So here before to much longer, I am going to take the server off line for a day. This is just a heads up, I'm not to sure what kind of time frame I am looking at because I don't know when I will get to spend the day up in my office doing it. It's hard to find the free time I use to have now that the wife is off work and here all the time.

As soon as I know when I'm doing it I will post it here so those who are interested will know.

So it looks like I have time to do it now, so with short notice, the server will be down for not more than 24 hours. Heck, I may even have it back up tonight.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I believe we will have a better running machine in the end.

Damn It! It's going to take me longer than I thought. After deleting the partitions, repartitioning, And formatting the hard drives, Windows is not seeing the SATA drives in the system now. Windows has always had an issue like that with serial ATA drives anyway. So I am digging through my spare part boxes and found a 40 GB drive to use as a new master. Now, the damn thing is not wanting to boot off of DVD's. I'm going to get N-Lite and rebuild a disk image so it will fit on a CD, but I am short on time today. Wife has her exit interview at Hynix today then we have to go out to the Community College so she can see about a school program she wants to get into, then we have a major grocery shopping trip to make and I have to go pick up one of Maggie's friends that is spending the weekend with us. Then maybe I'll get to work on the server for awhile. Anyway, thats whats taking so long.

Well, turns out the DVD-RW Drive that was in the server is not functioning. After what, 1 1/2 days of fucking with it I finally tried a different drive. Some days I am so stubborn.

Anyway, I'm putting on the new OS now and provided I have no other major problems I'm gonna try to have it back up tonight, at least the TS end of it.

We are going to the county fair tomorrow so I won't be around to work on it much, and Monday and Tuesday are pretty full schedule wise during the day. It'll get there though.
