Well kiddies, I'm having one of those really rare pretty much pain free days, so I have decided that today is the day. The server is going dow directly.

I will be doing an upgrade to our server, better mainboard, better graphics more memory, and a refresh on the OS. I anticipate being able to at the very least having the TeamSpeak server back up this evening, I don't have near the install for it that I do with my system, so the OS install is pretty much it. Updates to the OS, a few Security programs, thats about it. If I can get it going early enough, I may even be able to get the AA server back up tonight. We will see.

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that the server will be down tonight and why.

HUH, guess we won't be playing there. It's frustrating. Everytime I check, the server is down. Can't get on ts half the time anymore. WTF is going on?

WTF is going on is I have a hardware upgrade to do. Sorry to have not checked with any ones schedule, but I have been putting this off for a month. Since hardly anyone ever uses the server anymore anyway, I figured tonight would be a good night to so it especially since I am feeling good tonight.

Next time I have an upgrade to do though I'll make sure to clear it with everyone else first.

does a hardware upgrade for server affect TS? There seems to be lots of difficulty with connecting. Maybe that is just me. Not sure.

i was on today with no problems. i just reinsytalled AA on my comp. i just got it back today.i'm hopeing i don't have the same problem as last time...LOL

all is good and bk to normal. i mean bk to kicking bad players and getting roe doing head shots...lol

update on my comp: my computer won't be fixed until at least the end of this week, my bro needs to find out what's wrong with it, but it's his last week for his summer term in university, so he's been pretty busy lately. also will need to wait at least 3 more days after we find out what's wrong to get our order for the parts i might need to replace

I'm thinking this shouldn't have to be explained but.......

In order to do a hardware upgrade the computer has to be turned off. With the computer turned off, it makes it kinda hard to connect to it.

Well, it's never a good idea to pull memory sticks, vidoecards, motherboards, ect. while the system is powered up. Common sense should tell folks that.

But anyway, I'm beyond that. I have Maggies and Jakes systems are done, my system is still getting tweaked on, but that is something I do all the time.

The server had a bunch of hardware changes from it's upgrade, and I think it is running even slower now. I want to reboot it, That is an all day project. Depending on what time I get going on it. but that means the server will be down for a day, When will ever end!

One consolation though, There won't be any hardware changes or updare for the rest of my leadership year. Mid January who ever is left gets to replace me. And then in march the server lease is due, and I know we can't come up with the $400.00 for that. I certianly won't have the $200.00 that I put in. Chris probably has no interest in putting up another $150.00 I'd be suprised if Eye puts up anything again, and their isn't much left of the gang here to pick up what little slack is left. So after mid march, we'll be out of a honor server anyway.
